Re: Ebay Hafi for sale Texas
I think it looks like a mid to late 60s Canadian spec Hafi, similar to the one Toby Pond had shipped from New England to the PNW.
Definitely not a Pathfinder..

Re: And another - rare in Aust
I thought all PTOs were 703 long body units. I've never heard of a 703 set up as a Pathfinder variant.

Re: How many have survived?
I know of 37 Haflinger Pathfinders in various states of drivability internationally. This includes the one at the Puch museum, but does not include the bugeye prototype.

Re: Modified Pathfinder on eBay
The seller was a member of the Haflinger Pathfinder group on Facebook, where he detailed the extensive repairs and mods to the vehicle. There were many photos uploaded. Members of the group were quick to assist him with his technical questions and were very supportive of his work (the sheet metal wo...

The tread from "wear bar" to outer edge is 7/32 of an inch / 4-5 mm.
This was measured un-inflated.

Re: 12" Road Legal Tyres (Again) - What are the Mayolas Like
So.. mine showed up today, packed 5 in a box. I have never been in the position where I have a box of 5 tires that I can easily pick-up and move on my own! ImageUploadedByTapatalk1456244871.420971.jpg They look the business, and are so light that I'm not expecting any issues with additional wear. Th...

Re: 12" Road Legal Tyres (Again) - What are the Mayolas Like
There's one guy I keep seeing when I do the tire searches, and he specializes in the little Japanese Daihatsu trucks, along with others. He advertises some of the 12" tires, including the Yokohama and the Dunlops. http://best-used-tractors.com/ktruck_wheels_tires.html is the page URL - dunno i...

Re: 12" Road Legal Tyres (Again) - What are the Mayolas Like
I was told by US importers that the Super Digger II was discontinued, and all available stock in the US is a few years old. Also, tire importation to the US is near impossible due to DOT restrictions. Vendors here still have 145R12 stock of these tires, so if you have a good experience with them, I ...

Re: Is the Forum Dying
My Hafi is still sitting in my shop, with periodic surgery to replace thin or missing sheet metal. I'm not doing the surgery... I've been too sick from the chemo treatments I'm getting to really do much. I read the forum almost daily, but unless I'm in need of questions answered, or come across cool...

Are you going to fab the hinges or is there an available hinge on the market? Also, where are you sourcing the lock/handle from?

Re: 1971 Haflinger Pathfinder restoration.
I've been on a veritable "go slow" with the work on my Haflinger. I figured I had "all the time in the world" and didn't want to set any deadlines. It's just a hobby car. I have dismantled it down to the deck, and even took the time to "make good" with my state and pay ...
