New rice tires for the Haflinger
Well , a kind forum member on here sent me some 12 inch tractor tires for free last year and I finally got them onto rims and put them on my Haflinger at my farm. We had a big wet this month so I thought it would be a good test for them. The tires are a bit narrow at only 5 inches wide but seem to d...

New Seat straps
Hi there everyone!. After trying several different ideas out for suitable seat straps I ended up with these. I paid about $73 AUD including postage to Australia for 16 of these 50mm webbing straps that are slightly elasticized. I found a seller on ebay that has the following listing " Webbing e...

Re: Gearbox disassembly
Interesting! My haflinger that I'm restoring does the same thing. It jumps out of second unless you kept your hand on the gearstick when driving in second. When I bought it someone long ago had fitted one of those octopus luggage straps to the gearshift rod in an attempt to fix the problem. I though...

This is what he's after. I have only two of these which will be used on my army haflinger restoration. I got these from an old mate that had a heap of spares from a long closed haflinger dealership.

Re: Front crank seal replacement
I’ve been waiting for this moment where I might actually be able to help someone out!! Pulley has a key way to align mark with tech. But is a standard thread, normally super tight. I had to use heat with a heavy rattle gun. No other tricks, my pulley was still reasonably tight on crankshaft after b...

Front crank seal replacement
Hi there guys. I want to replace the 40x55 oil seal in my haflinger that's located behind the crank pulley. Any ideas on getting the pulley off? Mine wont budge! In the parts book the pulley looks like it is held on with a threaded nut. Is this a left hand thread? Also is the pulley splined? and doe...

Thanks Julian, I have both strap sizes used for the windscreen here and they are both too long to hold the tools on. I still haven't heard back with my email unfortunately. Cheers Dave

Thanks Garry, I actually googled that small trademark logo that was the strap, Turns out to be a Euro company that makes rubber components. I sent them a email. Awaiting to hear back from them.

Thanks guys, I was after some of this stuff too! I Didn't know where to look! I ordered 4 metres of 16mm I.D, hopefully this should do the main branch. The 20mm might be a bit hard to drag through the under body. Cheers Dave
