Re: Adjusting shift linkage
As I am shortly going to have to disconnect the gear change mechanism completely as my restoration progresses, what advice on actions to take to try and get a good starting point when I reassemble?
Thanks
Thanks

Re: Engine top shroud/cover
Constantin, Thanks for the clarification, I was sure you would know. So the next question is what are the differences in size on the oil coolers? I have the Shroud with the Exhaust tube on the engine it came with which I believe is the DHSS based on the mounting hoop and the exhaust. I assume this w...

Was it fitted with PTO as it appears to have a rear foot well blanked off, and a forth control lever?
Otherwise looks quite reasonable

Re: Body off restoration starts today!
POR-15 does give a good coating, and as you say it needs to be primed and then painted.
Anyone got recommendation for what top coat should be used, or a better option than POR-15, what do you use?
I have used Smoothrite in the past but it is not very durable (that was on Landrover chassis though).

Re: My Restoration Project
Well hope fully within around 18 months. Planning to move around then and driving a finished vehicle onto a trailer has to be much easier that packing a pile of bits into a van. I wish spot weld drills lasted longer! Its not how many I have drilled out so far, it's how many I have to go, and then pu...

My Restoration Project
I bought my Haffy in November 2007 knowing that it needed a lot of work, and started to repair the under seat area. That work was not in vain as I decided that a full rebuild of a decidedly perforated platform was required. So several trips to Haflinger Technik over a couple of years has produced al...

Re: Body off restoration starts today!
Julian,
Absolutely superb job.
That has spurred me on again, although I've got a lot of work to get the platform up to your standard.
What paint did you use on the torque tube and suspension, I was planning to use POR 15?
Congrats
Stuart

Re: 1968 SWB - spares truck with V5 (UK)
This has been a long term project. I bought it in November 2007 and started to work on the under seat and foot well. Decided that a full rebuild would be a better option. So over the past few years I have slowly passed large quantities of Beer tokens to Dale and now have all the panels, including a ...
