Re: flywheel bolt thread?

Never had a problem with Haflinger Technik.
They have a good stock of OE parts and work to ensure that they can supply most of the parts we all ask of them.

Re: LWB Haflinger for sale on Ebay

Didn't make it's reserve at £4,300 (if I remember right). Currently at £3,000 with 4 days left. There are picture of it before it was restored and sold last time in September 2015 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/391248388483 - or google Steyr Puch Haflinger restoration and look in Images Platform not all ...

Re: Oil Filter

The 500cc invacar engines I have (3) all have the later spin on oil filter housings and the engine that gets built will have one on it.

So I'll be OK!

Re: Haffy on Ebay UK

Me too, out of interest.

Not a lot of the original platform or front panel/foot well/engine cover etc. left. but if someone has deep enough pockets maybe a basis for a resto with a new platform etc?

Time will tell.

Re: Finally, back in

The Invacar engines also were not fitted with governor. I thought initially that from the photo it was one from that application. They were also 500 cc, believe some were unofficially converted to 650 using Haflinger parts. One of the ones I have recently stripped has the late type spin on oil filte...

Re: Tie Rod ends - joints

The ball joints are individual service parts.

Just remember to measure the distance they are set at in relation to pin to tube end before unscrewing them, makes setting up the tracking much easier.

Re: Fitted some flexible red LEDs on the back

My understanding is that with indicators a resistance is required to trip the coil in the Flasher unit of the indicator circuit. With all other 12V LEDs, a 12V supply will suffice ( although most modern alternators chuck our 14.4V but in the remit for "12"v LEDs) and he need for resistors ...
