Welcome! If you do decide to come up for NWMF let us know, there are plenty of us here that live in Oregon and go to NWMF.

Re: Canadian Haflinger owners?

I am currently in the process of purchasing 2 '69 Canadian spec Haflingers from a gentleman in Canada, one parts truck and another to restore. He is almost done with the long and arduous process of getting his registration squared away so I can finish my "purchase". He is near Vancouver, b...

Good old fashioned Load Tests usually do a great job of flushing out bad batteries. Good luck sir!

Re: What did you do with your Haflinger today?

After the flip of my Bantam at Mogfest last month, today I got my windshield frame back from the body shop, This weekend Ill get new glass cut and hope my seal material shows up from Haflinger Technik. Luckly the window frame, glass and soft cab cover were the only items damaged. Wife and I only ha...

Re: Alternators & voltage regulators - NOT Haflinger

You could have sulfated battery plates if it is on a charger, even a trickle charger, all the time. Incomplete and improper charging can surely wreak havok on a battery. I see it quite often at work when customers start driving their "summer" vehicles after having them on a "trickle c...

Re: Manuals and such

Are you planning on doing the minimal amount of work to get it going, and then enjoy using it for a while, or are you going to start stripping it straight away to do a "ground up" restoration. Personally, I prefer my vehicles to work rather than sit in the garage in a pile of pieces, but ...

As my truck will be here soon, I wanted to procure a repair and/or parts manual for my "69 Canadian Hafie.... Does anyone know where to procure such things?

Re: 1969 Haflinger 700AP

Yes, two would be ideal, but I am concentrating on just the one that actually has a number plate. The other one has no number plate as far as I am told, but I won't really have much to go on until they actually get to Oregon and I can poke around some more and maybe find a VIN stamped somewhere on ...

Re: New guy with a silly question....

A nice colour for a Haflinger (not sure about plaid upholstery though) just not very Canadian, eh. Steve I'm a little eccentric myself, so why not for a Hafie? ;) Yeah, I'm not a fan of red. :( I'm thinking more along the lines of a Mint Green (Reseda, aka. Birch Green?) with dark green canva...

Re: 1969 Haflinger 700AP

Do you know if George has sold the 1964 non-running truck yet? I don't know, to be honest. As of a few weeks ago I believe he hadn't... Ryan, Congratulations on the acquisition of George's two 1969 trucks. It is nice to know they have found a good home and, better yet, in the Pacific Northwest. Tha...

Thanks for the table, very cool! That's a huge bummer that the Canadian models only came in red however. :(

Re: New guy with a silly question....

My understanding is that the name Pathfinder was originally aimed at the North American market, but see http://tdc.haflinger-4wd.com/countries/usa.php for more info. Thanks Julian, I must have missed that while perusing the site. The "Pathfinder" title and badge only applies to the...

1969 Haflinger 700AP

My first Haflinger! He's going to be making the trip to his new home, my home, in the next month or so. I'm pretty excited and can't wait to start restoring him! Here are a few pictures including the Number Plate and a potential parts truck I picked up as well. He'll need a bit of work, but I'm opti...

New guy with a silly question....

Is the "American" Haflinger ('71 & '72) the only one referred to as a "Pathfinder"? I see "Pathfinder" used for ANY of the North American Haflingers ("Bug Eyes"), but wasn't the U.S. version the only one with the "Pathfinder" name plate? I have l...

Re: Northwest MogFest 2014: August 14th-17th

I will be attending NWMF this year. My first was in 2012 and I missed last years event, never again! I am currently looking to procure a Hafie in the next 3-6 months, so no truck THIS year. :( The only person I know is Ryan Gerrish, so hopefully I'll be able to meet some of you guys face to face as ...
