Angel, you might be able to get some of these which are made in Italy. I have them on my Haf and I know of some other Haf owners who also have them. On 13” rims, usually 155/80.Malatesta.

Wheel nut torque

I have been canvassing fellow Hafi owners regarding the correct torque for the wheel nuts. I cannot find anything in the two workshop manuals but am told that the Operators manual suggests 50ft/lb or 68nm. This has been supported by the Lancashire mafia. So unless anyone else has any more informed s...

Alternative rims

I recall having seen, admittedly some time ago, a list of all the suitable 4x98 PCD wheels that would fit a Haf. Has anyone still got a copy please as I would very much like to see it.

Thanks

Re: Bead profiles

John, that’s all very interesting but not definitive regarding using J tyres on a B rim. However, your last link does indicate, in the notes at the foot of the charts that it may be ok to use J tyres on a B rim if less than 5.5. And the tyres I was considering are Malatesta KobraTracs made by an Ita...

Bead profiles

I have been looking to upgrade to 13” wheels, probably with 155/80 tyres. The rim width has thrown up an interesting question. I can get new 4.5 rims but with a B profile, not J. But the tyres I want are a J profile. I have seen one post on Google that says mixing J and B is illegal, so I cannot put...

Re: Utility Polycab bits

Just to be clear, these have come off a Polycab hafi that was a Utility Company road sweeper. I have no idea if they are worth saving which is why I posted the pictures. The owner is going to scrap them as they are of no value to him.

Utility Polycab bits

Just been in a barn here in the U.K where I was told there was a large fibreglass tank that had been on the back of a Haf, and that in the other corner, quite buried, there was a road sweeper brush, without any bristles, but with most or all of the brackets. Are these of interest to anybody?

Re: Polycab door window rubbers

Thanks John and Jim. I am currently in discussion with two club members in the UK who might have complete polycabs which is a bit of overkill just to get a window rubber, but if that's what it takes then that is what I will have to do. And I would end up with plenty of Polycab spares. For now I will...

Polycab door window rubbers

I have a 1972 Polycab here in the uk. It's not particularly original but it runs and is a lot of fun. I am now looking for a drivers side (uk) ie right hand side door window rubber seal. I bought a set from Protski but their seal is a straight piece, the correct profile but not moulded to the shape ...

Re: Suspension limiting straps

I have just had some made up. Our local autojumble has a guy who does all sorts of webbing, securjng straps, tow straps etc. I had some old and rusty originals. Cut off the wire and then got the ends powder coated. He has put two lengths of webbing sewn along the length. Only cost a tenner for three...
