piston to bore clearance
question to any one out there who has rebuilt one of these things before, i have recived a set of 80.5mm pistons from haflinger technik and have my barrels at the local machine shop and are ready to be bored out. but,, it clearly says in the manual that it should have a piston to bore clearance of 0...

flywheel bolt thread?
hello fellow haflinger friends, i have finaly decided to rebuild my haffie and have come to the fly wheel bolt which is prooving to be a pest, does and one kno if this is a l/h or r/h bolt, the front pulley was normal so the flywheel should be reverse?? and haflinger tech in scotland have suplied me...

yea iv put 25x8 tyres on 5.5 wide rims, not sure the offset. and they seem to be the maximum size without scrubbing, They have a mean tread pattern on them and are dot approved, pitty only for 155kgs per tyre) thought about spacing the wheels out a bit but those little studs did'nt look like they wo...

yea forgot about those springs, where i live all the trails have snotty rockey hills and although the lockers are confidence builders the poor haffy always seems to be balancing on two wheels, a bit more suspension travel either way would give her a smoother feel through the fun stuff. Body lift see...

anyone extended the suspension drop limiter strap?
has any one in haflinger land tried extending the woven metal straps that limit the drop? the length of the shock and the strap seem to be the only thing that would have to change, apart from extra stess on the inner cv when it drops i cant see any thing else that it could hurt, mabe the break line....

mines a 1970 model, wos'nt sure if she still had the original head lights, but if they are meant to be there ill put them back, it has a pull style headlight switch on the dash with a parker position so that makes sense, my haffy has been used as a weed sprayer for the last 10 years so i don't know ...

Front parkers required for rego in nsw?
My haffy has no front parkers or wireing for them, there is a spot in the semi-seald light for one but nothing else, im sure they will pick this up at blue slip time so itd be nice to kno where i stand.

yea i put b5hs ngk plugs in her instead of the b7hs, she has a healthy blue spark, was hoping someone on hear knew the aftermarket part number for the points and conderser so i could replace them just to be safe, so garry how did you go finding the parts for the top end?
