Re: Governor V belt

Hmmm, the existing belt appears to be 500 x 8 x 5 allowing for a large proportion of the belt still stuck in the pully V's. I thought all the HAfs had a mechanical linkage, certainly mine has and it doesn't have a PTO, it has a flap in the induction pipe linked to the governor

Re: Governor V belt

Yes, that's the trouble, that's only part of the dimensions, there's also the height and profile, both of which are missing.

Could somebody tell me the dimensions of the governor v belt? Mine has suffered in storage, or the mice have been at it.
Thanks

4 Haflinger tyres Nankang 600 - 12 4 ply 5% worn

These tyres are suitable for a trialer or of course a compact tractor. They came off my Haf as I have now replaced them with "Semperits". Collection only Notts/Leics. border £80

Re: Poor Lurch - Engine making horrible noises!

30 years on it is sooo easy to source parts for HAfs, back in 1980-90 it was a real nightmare to find any spares at all, although Peter Ward had some bits he had been able to glean.

Re: Im new and have questions..

Im not a fan of split boots, so I probably wont use those. Well if your happy to have to pull the swing arms off and dismantle some of the hubs just to put boots on well go for it. Getting the drive shaft back into the diff with the little nuts all aligned is no mean feat even when you can see them...

Re: fuel tank, resto or not..

Has anyone made a tank out of carbon fibre. It would be easy to do, could match the original and wouldn't corrode..Would it be legal?

Re: brake adjusting cam, need to remove

Thanks for moving my post John, it was my first post and I haven't got to the advanced player bit about putting it in the right thread, which I realised almost as soon as I had posted it. Very grateful to you for the howto on getting this dratted adjuster out. I think your idea of a roll pin is grea...

brake adjusting cam, need to remove

Hi, I have just snapped the peg off the brake adjusting cam due to heavy handedness. I need to get the cam out and replace it. Fortunately I have some early cams without the 19mm nut welded on. So I need to get out one of each type of cam to swap over. I can't see how to get them off and the manual ...
