If you pay a little extra you can get a Haflinger with your wheels. The shipping will be killer though!

Re: Haflinger polycab for sale in Norway
Thank you for the title correction John:) The two year thing is a standard in norway to protect the buyer from gjetting scammed if the seller withold information. Not a problem if you inform the buyer this is an old project car. Thing can and will go wrong. A two year guarantee on a Haffy would be c...

Re: Shuush The Little Haffies Are Sleeping
Sorry Garry!
I have been out almost daily with my Haffy lately. The amount of co2's coming out of this thing per hp is amazing. BTW I have my flaps closed to keep the motor hot enough;)

This is why if encountering a hard problem one should sleep on it. Sometimes all that is needed is a new day:)

Re: Head Nuts - Haflinger the Gift that Keeps on Giving - Pa
Not sure what the problem is Garry, but a tip if you suspect any vacuum/false air getting in somewhere is to by a small can of propane (like a spray bottle) attach a "straw" to it so you can direct the flow of propane to an exact point. Work your way around the flanges and throttle plate s...

Re: Intake air temperature measurement
Totaly agree with the manual on cooling. But I tink this is more focused on cylinder and oil cooling. If the system is made to handle 40+ celcius it will seriously overcool the oil and cylinders on a cold day if not using the air flaps to restrict the volume of cooling air. To prevent icing it allre...

Re: Headlights. ... New thread
When i bought my polycab it already had bigger headlights than the original polycab type. Now i know why the previous owner chucked the original ones. He probably ran out of friends willing to do the candlewalk:)

Re: Intake air temperature measurement
Good point John. I removed the cyclone part of my post as I only have the oil bath filter.
I guess the system that takes air from the front bumper will have the coolest air coming into the engine.

Intake air temperature measurement
Did a quick test today measuring the intake air temperature with and without the oilbath air cleaner. Outside temperature was just above freezing at 2-3 celcius. Drove at normal road speeds (approx 60kph) while measuring. The probe was placed where the outside air is taken from not inside the intake...

Re: Low Fuel Sensor
i was surprised that there is no coarse gauze filter on the fuel intake in the tank to catch any big chunky bits but I guess it is not important - certainly my tank was absolutely spotless inside with no chunky bits floating around. Garry A gauze filter would be nice in my tank. I have plenty of fl...

Re: What did you do with your Haflinger today?
Got the engine back in today after replacing the clutch bearings and crank oil seal. It mostly went according to plan exept for the new very poor fitting intake manifold (Autoquariat). It started bad with a shabby finish and finding bits of mig welding wire inside the manifold. When it was bolted do...
