Re: Doors and soft tops

I know that those exact rivets are available from HafiTechnik. A guy on Austrian ebay recently was selling the leather straps and rivets for the windows as well. Took a booger of a time to get them shipped to me, but they are OEM! If this link doesn't work, try searching ebay for seller "Pinzga...

Re: Another OIL thread! No, it's not what you think!

Biggest slow starting improvement I made was adding (the formerly missing) earth straps that go from the Dynastarter to the body. Before: Push button and hope that eventually the engine would start turning over. After: Instant cranking once the button is pushed! My poor Dynastarter was having to gro...

Re: Seat Backs

These are the ones that were on her. The stitching was rotten and the foam was worn, so I re stuffed and restitched them.

Re: Haflingertreffen Nordamerika 2013

Hi Jim and all, We will be there! Jim- is there any way you can edit your original post to reflect the correct dates? It's the first thing you see when you open this post, and it is confusing. Like Bruce, I had the "original" dates locked, then scrambled when I learned they were the follow...

Re: Rear seats

You're welcome. Glad to help out- I'm sure over time I'll ask my fair share of assistance from this board! One additional point of detail on the rear seat pads: The other seat pad I have has two flap pockes sewn to the underside. These pockets slide under metal wings in the seat bed, securing the pa...

Re: Rear seats

Hi John, Great timing, I just pulled my seat pads off so I can restuff them. I'll take photos and measurements for you and will post here. The original seat pad stuffing is rubberized horse hair! I am lucky to have a foam dealer near me- I bought some leftover high density recycled foam from them th...

Re: Alternatives to original ignition system.

Jim, Great news, thanks for the info! I can vouch for the Pertronix upgrade from Scott- works great, makes static timing a breeze! (And yes, I do carry the points & condenser with me as an emergency spare. Haven't needed them yet) I can also vouch for Jim Pettiti at Raceway. I bought my Ural fro...
