Re: Non Steyr Puch parts.
Thanks John, Having trawled the net it would appear Haflinger Technic are the cheapest option for the shockers, Dale said the seal kits for the brake cylinders had got almost as expensive as the complete cylinder so unless anyone knows where reasonably priced kits are available then that may be the ...

Non Steyr Puch parts.
Morning all, I remember a long time ago seeing a list of other vehicle parts & their part numbers that are compatible with the Haflinger, I wondered if anyone has an up to date version. If not is there a list of manufacturers part numbers for 'consumable' parts in particular brake cylinder seal ...

Re: Gearbox disassembly
On stripping the gearbox on my 1964 Mk1 I found the three detent screws (i.e. the screws which press the spring loaded balls on to the selector shafts holding them in the selected gear) would not move, they were seized solid! I ended up setting the casing up in a miller & machining out each scre...

Re: Gear ratios.
Thanks Garry PM sent.
Another approach, the parts manuals I have show the five speed gearbox, does anyone have a parts manual for the Mk1 four speed gearbox so I can cross reference part numbers of gears etc. This would give me an idea as to differences in the two.

Gear ratios.
Hi all, Wondering if anyone could advise on the following. I have a Mk1 Haf I am restoring with the four speed gearbox, I want to increase the road speed by changing to the higher ratio gears in the hubs, will this exert too much strain on the engine? if so I have a spare five speed gearbox & sh...

Re: Red code for fan & oil filter.
Thank you for the advise, I had an old spray tin of RAL 3001 kicking around so used that, it looks pretty good. Will post some photos later in the week.

Red code for fan & oil filter.
Hi, I have had a good look on the forum but can't find an answer. Im looking for the correct colour code for the red on the engine cooling fan/oil filter. I know its not critical but might as well use the correct one.

Difference between Mk1 & Mk2
Hi,
I have a 1964 Mk1 which has had many alterations to the platform in the form of cheap repairs, my question is what are the main differences between the Mk1 & Mk2 other than the different shape & position of the fuel tank.
Thanks in advance.

Hi, whilst new to the site I am not new to Haflinger ownership, I have owned two in the past & a Pinzgauer. I used to be an active member of the Haflinger club UK in the 90's & when on quite a few rallies with my family, I sold my last Half around 10 years ago which I had carried out a nut &...

Hi Rob, thanks for the reply & yes please to the wheel info, I have owned two Haf's in the past & a Pinzgauer, couldn't get it out of my system so I've just purchased another Half which has original wheels with small road going tyres fitted, I've been looking on the Soyogomarket web site at ...
