Re: 1971 Haflinger Pathfinder restoration.

Rear "jump seat" lids and frames reviewed today.. These things were removed from my truck many, MANY years ago and appear to have been thrown in a pile, on the ground, in dirt. Frankly, I'm lucky I have them at all. The good; Although a bit rusty and weather-warn, the seat frames are still...

Re: 1971 Haflinger Pathfinder restoration.

Spending time labeling and removing the harness from my Hafi, and noticed that the upper left ant right corners of the engine bay (where it meets the floor area) were packed with debris. After the wires were removed, I stuck a screw driver into it and found two REALLY BIG mud dauber nests! These nest...

Slowly moving along..
I am a firm believer in the idea that adding deadlines to personal projects makes the car you own end up owning you.

..that, and I work in a body repair and restoration facility, so pressure and deadlines make the whole thing feel too much like "work."

Re: Circuit breakers (2-3)

That's the "Swiss Army Vehicles" part.. Arkansas gives it away.
It won't fit a Hafi properly.

I'm good for now. Jim LaGuardia/Goatwerks hooked me up with one.

Re: Steyr-Puch Haflinger Pathfinder owners group on Facebook

Facebook has it's issues, but it's so darn easy to manage. Photo upload is a snap. Connecting to other members is easy.

I just thought it would be cool to have an easy place for Pathfinder owners to link to.

Standard automotive seam sealer should do the trick.

I just thought a bit of Pathfinder specific stuff would be fun. I would love to see how many Pathfinder owners get linked to this!

Re: Ebay - Haflinger Bits is Aust - Ambitious or Reasonable

Is "running chassis" an Aussie term? ..'cause that doesn't look like it is going to "run" anywhere.
Does he mean "rolling chassis?"

It could be a fun project, or a nightmare of unobtainable parts.

I just put all the boys into one of those 1 gal parts cleaner cans. Let it sit for a day, remove, brush, repeat as needed.

Re: 1971 Haflinger Pathfinder restoration.

Quick update; New or refurbished lights and reflectors are purchased. New Bosch trailer plug also in hand. Eberspacher removed and stowed (that is a project in itself) Last of the electric components removed, but for the dash mounted bits. My Hafi lived its whole life in the Utah desert, and it show...

Yeah, this has been going around a bit..

The Hella light listed might fit, but I don't think it's correct.
The orig light is body grounded and excepts 1 hot lead.

Re: Haflinger "Pathfinder" Lucas reflector.

.. replacement reflector arrived post from Australia. The above listed part number is correct. By the way, I also eBay dived for replacement rear side markers (you can see how bad mine were above). Pro tip, the L841 was used on MANY MANY vehicles in the early 70's. The only difference from car to ca...

Rear wheel brake cylinder applications

Does anyone know how many different kind of rear wheel brake cylinders were produced for the Haflinger? My Haflinger Pathfinder has a very leaky right rear unit, so in in the market.. I keep seeing ads for rear units on Bonanza.Com and EBay that list remanufactured Haflinger 7/8" 22.22mm units....

Dash panel lamps.. Hella part#?

Anyone know the Hella part #s for the original warning lamps on the dash panel?

Hella seems to be making a few units even today, but I'm not sure if the ones I have been seeing out there are a match.

All my lights are ok, but only 1 has a red cover. I need red and green ones.

Re: Towing a Haflinger on a trailer

Strapping the body down and loading the suspension is safer, so the trailer doesn't oscillate with the sway of the loose upper weight.

Look for Kei truck covers on the inter-webs. They shouldn't be that pricy.
