Re: Another one for sale.
Gidday Gary, Yes I worked out who it was which is why I said the vehicle HAD to be on the list already. Also on his posts he lists a number of Puch scooters, and on the Ebay listing it is mentioned in "other items for sale", a number of Puch scooters. All of the vehicles are an absolute cr...

Gidday all,
For someone on this side of the world to tell someone on the other side of the world that his number plate light is not working, just cracked me up. It has made my day, but mind you I have got a warped sense of humour. What a classic.

Wounded haffie
Gidday all, Have removed all of the springs and top and bottom locator plates and have fitted a set of spacer tubes between the lower swing arm and the top cross member to stop the swing arm from moving to far up or down. Have checked all of the bits before sand blasting and discovered a bullet hole...
Platform
Gidday all, I am in need of a SWB RHD Haffie platform, as I am at the stage of making a decision at to where I go with mine. Now I know there are hundreds of these just laying around the place but I only need one. It needs to be within Australia as I have checked with the airlines and it is to big f...

Re: Another 1 for the list?
Hey John, I went to Tassie once for a motor bike rally and we all gathered at Port Melbourne from all over Australia to get on the ferry and the cost for every ones vehicle and trailer loaded with a bike was enough to pay off the national debt. So after some frantic restacking of multiple bikes onto...

Another 1 for the list?
Gidday all, Another Haffie on ebay the other day, which was down in Tassie. Was at $2000 I think, but when I went to have a second look at it, the thing was gone. Talk about selling like ammo at duck opening, you have to be quick. There would be some decent costs involved to bring it back to the mai...

Hey John,
As soon as I read the first line of your post I started to laugh. My partner is always up me for this as she reakons a paragraph should only be as long as you can read in a breath. I won't show her this post as she will be on my case for a week.
Regards Rick.

Gidday all. Have just got home after a couple of days in hospital annoying the nurses and naturally going through this forum again, well I mean what else do you do in hospital? and came upon this startling subject. For years I owned a Hilux that I fitted with robust towbars front and back. I then go...

Hey Danny, Small world !!!!!!!! After reading the bits on seats I went and counted all of my clips and hooks and I think I have got a full set. Have just done some aviation seats so have got metres of rubber strapping and my mate is an upholsterer so I think I should be right for the seats and the b...

Re: Seats
Gidday, Am just reading these posts as I am currently restoring the seats out of mine. Alternate seats, I had a pair of jump seats from a Suzuki Sierra as rear seats in a Hilux. They were excellent as they were small, the back folded down and then the whole seat folded forward against the backs of t...

Gidday all,
Now that the UK has given the EU its marching orders the most serious question has to be asked, "how will this effect the price of Haffie parts? On a more serious note, I wish the UK all the best of British luck. You should aim to be what you used to be.
Regards Rick.

Re: Fuel tank
Gidday Danny, I see now why you had to put another breather in, because you haven't used an original cap which has a breather in it. It looks like a good result. I test bent a small tank today. The correct sized end on profile to see if I am able to put the curved side and then bend the other bottom...

Gidday all, Now that is a snake !!!!!!!!! It wouldn't fit into a Haffie battery box. It might fit into a B747 battery box though. Just after we moved here the local house removalist offered me a job, and I asked him who gets to crawl under the houses with the Funnel Web spiders and the snakes, and h...

Re: Fuel tank
Gidday all, In reference to the sender unit in the fuel tank, for the low fuel light, does any one know how this sender unit works? Given that the tank is earthed, and the light on the dash has got power through it to the terminal on the sender unit, then what makes the contact inside the sender uni...
