Looking for a few more assemblies..

I'm looking for the following parts that would fit my 71 Haflinger Pathfinder; First, I'm looking for a pair of rear seat "flip lids." My lids are too far gone to save, but I have usable rear seat frames, so all I really need are the lids themselves. Second, since my Hafi's fuel tank is a ...

Re: New feature.. Smartphone support for thehaflinger.com

Seriously Marcus.. Thank you!
I have 5 forums I frequent, and now all of them support Tapatalk! It's heaven.

Your forum design is great, but my silly smartphone made me jump through hoops to post with attachments.
Now.. It's a breeze.
Thanks again!

Re: Wiper arm substitution option?

Just a follow-up to Jim's prior post. The following photos are of a pair of early VW Beetle wiper arms I picked up on ebay. As a set, they are identical.. But the Haflinger needs a pair with opposite articulation. So, you bend them. image.jpg It's quite easy to remove the rod arm from the base. Just...

Those pics are super! Thanks Garry!
That bend at the "roll bar" end is pretty aggressive. I am planning on (attempting to) make a pair out of EMT (conduit) and see what happens.

Re: Some strange Haflinger bits

That cyklon air filter is just like the one connected to my Haflinger. It's really easy to remove, and you can shake sand and grit right out of it. I have heard of people wanting to replace theirs, so if you ever want to sell it, I think it would go pretty quickly. Those loops are strange. I've seen...

Haflinger windscreen supports (pair) needed.

My Hafi (Pathfinder) didn't come with them, and before I explore making (bodging) my own, I figured I'd look for a pair.

Anyone have a set, or leads as to where to get some?

New Fiat 500 wheels, plug'n'play?

The Fiat 500 came to the USA in 2011 (I think) and is the most widely available 4X98 steel in the USA. Does anyone run these? Are they a plug 'n' play option for replacement steel wheels on the Haflinger (stock nuts, etc.) I have come across a number of these wheels lately, and the price makes them ...

Or.. Use VTs DMV to provide you with a registration and plates, which you can use to title in your home state.

.. on the subject of sleepy Hafis..
I'm just trying to pack in as much family fun time as I can before the snow flies.
I went to an amusement park today. 45F. Cold stuff for the 9-7-5 year olds and the adults in tow.

Hafi stuff can wait.. For awhile..

Re: New guy with a silly question....

Funny.. I just read through the Pathfinder vs Canadian bug eye spec sheet.. My Pathfinder has no column lock. Mine has a Bosch lock on the instrument panel. I have no reason to suspect that it was a work around by the previous owners.. Randomly choosing to exchange the lock with a switch off a Porsc...

Re: another haffy on ebay

Wow. A $20k polycab. Honestly.. And I'm not trying to be a joker, but it's honestly worth as much as the market bears. There was one here in the states that languished in sales sites and Craigslist for months, and kept dropping in value.. I don't know what the UK price would be, but one here in the ...

Re: Hafflinger on Ebay 1973

FYI- The USA allows new RHD vehicles.. Subaru and Jeep vehicles are imported RHD for Rural Route postal employees to purchase, since they use their own vehicle for deliveries, and it's handy to have a seating position on the side of the road where the residential mail boxes sit.
