Re: Who Can Rebuild and ReJet a Zenith Carby In Sydney or Ne

Ok - misunderstood - I thought you had the nut. Just undo the other exhaust nut and use it - they are common - I have a whole lot in my nut and bolt box but I am not in Canberra at the moment so cannot check for you. You of course could spend up big and buy a M8 1.0, a M8 1.25 and a M8 1.75 nut - m...

Re: Who Can Rebuild and ReJet a Zenith Carby In Sydney or Ne

Just take the nut to the hardware store and match it on the test board - it will be 1.0 or 1.25 What nut!! I don't have the nut, stud or washer. That's what I'm trying to identify. Normally the part book would tell you the size and pitch but I cannot find the stud in the book. The nut description m...

Where in Oz can I buy an accel pump, and the big top carby gasket. I've asked several places but that don't seem to want to respond!!

Re: Who Can Rebuild and ReJet a Zenith Carby In Sydney or Ne

The exploded parts book will tell you. Don't have mine to hand right at the moment, but if you still haven't found it, post again and I will look it up for you. It will be a metric thread. One thing to check would be that the stud has actually come out and not just sheared off! John I couldn't see ...

Re: Who Can Rebuild and ReJet a Zenith Carby In Sydney or Ne

I have an exhaust leak and have discovered one stud and nut is missing from the left bank (exhaust pipe to the head). Can anyone tell me the specs of the stud? It looks like M8, but what thread?

Re: Mini-treffen, and perhaps a Maxi-Treffen

Excellent - it is great fun meeting up & comparing notes etc. I still remember the day that I went to my first European Treffen - in Hafling, Italy - and seeing over 100 Haflingers. Prior to that I had owned a Haflinger for perhaps 40 years and only ever seen about 3 in all that time! PS I can'...

So - Mini Treffen has been done and dusted. Attendees - mechanical horse (our host), OzzieHaffy, OzzieHaffy's son, and myself = Haf, Haf, Pinz 712M, Haf. Lots of measuring, comparing, photographing, taking, more measuring etc. "Mrs mechanical horse" kindly provided some morning tea which m...

Mini-treffen, and perhaps a Maxi-Treffen

I apologise for the late posting here, but I have only just found this area of the site. In about one hour, I am leaving home with Haf on my new trailer to head three hours south to meet Rick (mechanical horse) at his home where he is restoring a Haflinger. There, we will be met by OzzieHaffy (kym) ...

Hey Gary, Thanks for that info. I thought that I had seen it somewhere before on the forum but couldn't remember where, so thought it would be easier and quicker to ask. And it was. Am having 3 other Haffie owners here for a get together this Sat, so that will make 4 Haffies here at the one time, a...

Re: Mystery Object

That means the parking light switch is on the wrong side of the parking lights. I have come across that a few times before. Nothing specifically wrong with that way of wiring things if your wiring is in good condition and not likely to cause a short circuit. You could re-wire so the side light swit...

Garry

What if like me, you were in more than one car club - would that means that you could not go on an official club run with a club other than the one one your concessional rego was organised through?

Re: Mystery Object

The is correct.... parking lights getting power with ignition off means you can park on the street with parking lights running as required by various countries. Other things we will wait and see what you find! John You are missing my point. It seems incorrect to me that the parking light fuses only...

Re: Mystery Object

re switch panel - that's what I thought re chassis number - yes, gearbox number matched plate. I know that the engine has been changed, re fuses - I had a play today. I would have thought that power from the battery would have been connected to one side of fuse panel (separated into items that work ...
