Re: My Haflingers and other problem
John, in Australia going off road poses no problem, bloody big country. Even in Sydney 1 hrs towing you can be on the beach, in the mountains, wherever. I'm not into car shows but I guess if all the owners in Sydney got together I'd go. I will register the grey one as a run around, get my coffee hav...

Mark, love the photo's. The Plastic water jerry can next to the dog, brings back memories. I've had one of them for 25 odd years that I got off you yanks on a joint exercise when I was in the Australian Army. The large screw cap allows for access to hide your cans of beer. Danny

Re: Hafi trailer
Hi Guys, I run mine in a 8x5 foot trailer also, tows great, only problem I had was my trailer has 500mm sides, front and back so I trimmed down the front so I could run the haflingers front wheels right up to the front wall.

Re: Different Nomnaclure Plates for 700ap
The difference is only 50 and 40 kgs. I am assuming that the lighter plates may be for earlier vehicles and the increase in weight may have been for later vehicles which had heavier springs and more options, pto's , tow bars, full cabs etc. just a thought. Danny

Different Nomnaclure Plates for 700ap
Hi Guys, have a question I've been discussing with Gary in Canberra, Australia. I have my 2nd 700AP with a torn in half Nomnaclure Plate. Now this plate is very similar to my 1974 other than the vehicle weights are lighter. Haflinger Technik stocks both different plates, just curious as to what the ...

Re: engine oil leak
I have the exact problem and for the life of me I could not figure it out, oil pressure everywhere, basically followed all the advice on the subject. I have the same set up and the same problem. So the solution that has worked for me is the following. I removed the oil filler cap, I don't have the 2...

Re: haflingers and parts for sale, Sydney Australia #4
Have been for a ride in this Haffy with Ian, lovely vehicle and starts 1st time, great work done to it, I would also add he has the only complete original tool kit, vehicle jack and even the little original oil bottle. The other haffie has all you would want for a restoration. Ian has a wealth of kn...

Re: Tyre Tube Valve Stem Adaptors
Sorry Gary, didn't think to mention that. Restored my 5 original rims and did new tyres and tubes. The neighbour is a diesel mechanic and took the tyres to work and did them and told me he fitted the adapters. Put them away and didn't think about again until I saw your post. I too had wondered why t...

Thanks Gary, nice to get compliments. Really enjoyed the visit. Pleasure to talk to other owners. I have the original wheels but also Fiat POP 500 14 and 16 inch rims and mags. I'm hoping to find a aggressive looking retread for the 16 inch. Its not like I'm going to be doing high speeds. Happy to p...

Gary went out to see Michael, he had 5 wheels and tyres originals however did not want to part with them, so couldn't find a spare for you. Might head north and find one yet. Did get to go for a great ride in Micks Haffy, custom made his own wheels with large Bear Claw tyres crawled through the cree...
