Re: Water Ingress from the Tray
Another option would be to get the equivelent of a caravan cover to put over the whole thing. A large canvas tarpaulin cut and either sewn or fastened in some other way that would make a shaped cover for it would also be a good option. John Thanks John, yes been there and done that but without hood...

Water Ingress from the Tray
My Haflinger is a swb with a canvas truck cab. The tray at the rear does not have a cover and is open to the elements. When parked down hill, like it is at my house, and it rains all the water that gathers in the tray runs forward and into the cab area floor soaking everything. I was thinking of ins...

Re: New Haflinger from France
I would not worry about the winch just yet and leave it until the more important stuff is done and the vehicle is on the road.

Yes - I must admit I had not heard of a OEM mount for the spare on the engine cover - must be a bit heavy to lift.

Re: Runs and mostly stops!
Hey Matt that looks really good - has taken you a while but has turned out well - the start doesnt sound real good though. With the small generating capacity of the generator, you might want to change the Hellas on the front to LEDs.
Glad to see it up and running.

Re: Fuel tank sender issues
Hi Nigel and welcome to the forum. Please include where you are as this is an international forum. Of course the Haflinger did not have a fuel gauge as such only a low fuel (reserve light). However I have basically the same system as you have installed in my Haflinger - never had an issue with it bu...

Re: Notek light
Is this Haflinger ex military? If not do you need one of these? If it is military are you going to put the equivalent on the front. I cannot speak for Haflingers but my ex Military landrover has a six position switch that covers all light combinations from normal lights to blackout lighting.

Re: Another Aussie Haf - On Lloyds Auctions
Sold for $14,560 AUD or about 7,400 pounds. I thought it would have gone for a little more but classic car prices have come down a bit over the year.

Re: Trials at Sindon 17th June 2023
Given the very tight turning circle of the Haflinger and the barge like turning circle of a Land Rover you should have easily beaten them

Re: Honda Vamos
Yes I can remember when the LJ50 was released in Australia in the mid 70s - there were given the name three pot screamers, referring to their 3 cylinder 2 stroke engines that revved quite high. They also stank out the atmosphere with the oil smoke from their engines. In the mid 80s I had a long whee...

Re: Honda Vamos
Interesting vehicle, I guess a forerunner to the Kei Class of commercial vehicles from Honda, Suzuki and Subaru that came 20 years later. These are in many ways similar to a Haflinger but have nice comfortable cabins.

Re: Replacement Wiper Blades - Australia
Have you tried Bernard Calahan in Melbourne. Dave Yes I ended up getting them from Bernard. Interestingly when I took the old ones off I noticed that they were made by Trico - Made in Australia so if Trico made them they must also fit a number of other cars. I looked at the current Trico catalogue ...

Re: Replacement Wiper Blades - Australia
Yes you have to change the arms as well as the blades connect differently to the Haflinger ones.
Was hoping one of the Aussie members might have an alternative that will work.
