Re: Zenith Carb springs

The parts book shows a spring attached at the front underneath the body to a bracket for the choke knob lever. The second one is the same that is fitted to the right hand side of your photo which is connected to the pump rod. It does not have the spring attached to the accelerator rod to the left of...

Re: Laminated parts book

I was searching through a big pile of haflinger paperwork that I have printed at various times, when I came across this drawing.
I have searched the internet and I cannot find where I printed it from.

Re: wheel rims

Laminated parts book

It was quiet at work this weekend so I made my self busy by copying and laminating the
parts book, the original one is getting a bit tired so this will help with greasy hand prints
they should just wipe off.

Re: elastic straps

I had nothing to do at work over the weekend, so I made a few things for the Haflinger.
The rings are for the elastic straps, I will crimp them to the straps when I eventually have the canvas cover made.
They are made fron light weight aluminium tube and cut to lenght with tube cutters.

Thank you, I have the 8mm elastic strap and I was going to make some crimps for it, but I did not know how many I would need.

Re: Reminiscing

The photo is from one of the 5 Haflingers we had in the UK. The first was WTJ363L about 1976, We lived on the top of a hill with a single track road that was 1 in 4 in places. It was the only vehicle that would climb the hill with snow on it. The local council provided road salt and we would load th...

Re: Reminiscing

I was looking through a old parts book when this photo fell out onto the floor.
I would think it was taken in the 1980,s and I was around 20 years old and a full head
of hair, Im 65 now, but with a lot less of it now.
I look as though im painting the Haf chassis.

elastic straps

Would anyone know if the elastic loops on the rear side canvas that hook over the side panels are seperate loops or one continuous
inter woven length from left to right.

Re: voltage regulator

I took some readings today, with a digital rpm tachometer. I took the readings near as I could to the centre of the lower double pulley/ end of crank shaft. approx 800rpm light is bright green at approx 1150 rpm the colour starts to change, through to 1350rpm when it finally goes out. The workshop m...

voltage regulator

Has anyone seen or made the tool for adjusting the volage regulator or can suggest what I could use.
The tool is shown in the workshop repair manual.
When I set the engine to 700/800 rpm my charging light remains bright green, so I guess it needs a bit of adjustment.

Holiday meet

While I was in Brisbane, during the christmas holidays, I managed to catch up with a fellow Haflinger owner, Brian Ryan We had a good long chat and i checked out his LHD Swiss army Haflinger. He also owned a 6WD Pinzgauer. He told me the Swiss army Haflinger is forsale but no price was mentioned. Dave
