I was told by an australian amry haflinger owner that the Australian army haflingers did see active duty but there is some conflicting stories and no evidence to support. Looking forw...

Re: Vapour Lock?

If this helps anyone.

Tank preparation for new liner.

Wedge tank into cement mixer with wood and cloth. Put a few Kg of gravel and paint stripper in and let run for a few hours.

Re: Wiper arm substitution option?

This is what I did. Modified VW arms. They are longer. So cut them and heated and bent the ends to replicate the originals the 'base' is a little longer but looks almost the same.

OK for the blades... I found and I mean identica, stainless ones at a boating shop.

Julian,

Upload a photo of how it went when you have time and the tool. I still have mine to do and would appreciate some advice on forming the head.

Re: Alternative seat webbing

Just on a side note.

I used stainless welding wire the same size as the original 'hooks' and using a vice I was able to replicate the original ones.

Re: Laying hands on my Haflinger

I'm not sure what you will achieve with the M12 studs. The PCD will remain the same...

I personally believe the rims should be modified to match the Haflinger and not the other way round.

Re: Starter solenoid

Hi John, On my model I could and im 99.9% sure its the original unit but it could be different for the later models like yours.

I can't remember if it has a gasket or an Oring sealing the unit.
could also be the push button.

hope this helps.

Yeah they are for holding tools, there is also a shovel tool holder at the back.

Here is a picture with a pick handle and a pick head on the front of the vehicle.

Re: Categories for Haflinger Clubs

Ok done. Have a look and tell me what you think. I have placed them under events and treff and clubs, then under appropriate region. I hope this satisfactory. If not let me know. I just have one plea, that information about the Haflinger be left to the main forum and only discussions related to club...
