Re: What did you do with your Haflinger today?
  Ive had a couple of classic RR, including a LSE nicknamed Thunderbird 2. Love them, but was very surprised at how much better the Cayenne was to the old RR L344 - even the ride, with the RRS being too small in the back. I would've gone for a D4 for the space, but the wife thinks its too ...

Re: What did you do with your Haflinger today?
loving the posts - it helps inspire me to action, but my Haffa is at the beach, so I don't get to play often enough. I am amazed at how cold Canberra is, just back from Mt Buller skiing - its warmer! Interesting to see the Cayenne did 6.3lt/100km -44.8mpg UK - 37.3mpg US , last year it did 6.1lt/100...

Re: What did you do with your Haflinger today?
I remember reading an article by 'Atilla' way back in the 80s. He was the fella driving around the Aussie bush looking for Lassiters lost reef of gold......in a Haflinger. He burnt a valve outback somewhere. Took the head out, used some glass to grind it all better. He then added a tube inside the v...

What did you do with your Haflinger today?
Hi all.
On another forum I am on, 928s, there is a great thread about what we do with our cars.
So I am starting it off!
( can't post images from an iPad, so I'll do some later)
Let's see what these little cars get up to every day...

the OZ ones are not LWB, I think the ebay car is overpriced, the Gumtree car looks like great value.

Re: Headlight Replacements.
Hi John I didn't mention a quick swap :-)), so I am thinking for a long trip, like if i went for bush for a couple of weeks and while here in OZ driving at night in the outback is fairly dangerous due to wildlife I doubt a Haffa would be a risk. If one is into original and wanted to show their car t...

Hi Garry I'll keep it, the kids will decide.... We're wanting to use it down at the beach, where the Haffy is, to go to the beach & shops. I'll investigate getting it regoed, it has previously been registered, joe Flinkier owned it, he is still a car dealer in St Kilda. I'd like to take it there...

I was at the auction, I bought the "Flinkel Fluff GT"! Only two bidders, I spoke to the under bidder & suggested he post a wanted add on this site. It looked good from a distance in that the paint job was not great - see my original post. what would it cost to fix the brakes, electrics...

Re: Headlight Replacements.
perusing threads..... I think it will soon be time for LED headlights. They will not look std, maybe for that long trip & then return to the normal lights for originality. http://www.jwspeaker.com/other/led-headlamps model 8630, its 5.75", so a little big. Available LHD & RHD configurat...

Re: roll cage & bumper
LCT 131 was my old haf from the early 80's. The chap I bought it from used it for deer shooting and comented that the cage had done it's job a few times. It did have a definate bend to one side. I am wanting to also make one for the new haf coming [as well as get a tow bar], as I have a fairly slope...

Haflinger at Shannon's Auction Melbourne ,May 5. No reserve
Viewed the Haflinger that's going for auction at Shannon's May 5. I was passing by so thought I should have a look! 700 APT2 , poly cabin. No doors Evenly the brakes are all shot, & the rears are seized , the pedal goes to the floor. There is 1/2 a turn of slack in the steering wheel, I could ra...
