Tools

Post by ogdenenterprise »

I want to make up a tool roll similar to a original one that would have been supplied with a new Haflinger, has anyone any photos of what was in the kit or maybe a list of parts and sizes of the roll and tools. If any one has any of the original tools they want to sell please PM. me .

There were different varieties of tool rolls, bags, and tools. Then there are the differences between the different years, types, nationalities, etc.

I guess it comes down to how much historical accuracy you want?

For the swiss truck I have, all the kit was in a bag with a flap and a tie.

Thanks for the reply, I have rebuilt my Haflinger to as near original as possible, its a 68 Lwb, it would be appreciated if you could post a photo of your tool kit. it would give me some idea what was available and at least some where to start looking for different tools.

So have a look at this:-

http://www.goatwerks.com/images/hafiepi ... Manual.pdf

Right at the end of the manual 30 95/0 you will see a page listing all the original tools that would have been sold with a Haflinger (I doubt that would change much between years /models. Far more likely to change due to region due to requirements for local content in Knock Down Paks.

Have you hit the "DONATE" button at the bottom of the page after reading this post? Many thanks if you have!!

Dave - would your LWB have been assembled in Melbourne? Other than jack and wheel brace was a tool kit standard or an option. I guess it would be on your build sheet.

If it was assembled in Melbourne I guess that Tony could tell you what it should or should not have.

Cheers

Hi John, Thank you for reminding me about the parts book , I never thought to look

Hi Garry, I think it was assembled in Melbourne, after I wrote the message yesterday I rang Tony but there was no answer, I will try again today.

OK, dug up a few pics.

I stole these fair and square from vehicle for sale listings. :D

I believe this is a Swiss military kit. At the least it's the same as mine, but I do have a different spark plug wrench.

Civilian kit?

Different type of bag - this one is blue. No idea as to source.

Thanks Tiziano,
Another question regarding the open end spanners, are they made by Stubia / Austria?, plus any info who manufactured the other tools and also the scissor and hydraulic jack.
