I am still in the process of getting ready to register my Haf for road use, as you may already know its a beige 1968 Lwb/703. I have only photos of the vehicle when it was originally registered, so I will have to buy new plates. The original rego number was PQV 876 and this is still available. I cant make my mind up what plate to go for as there are a few options available at varying prices. I will probably keep to the lower cost, but here are a few that are available, you can check these out at www.ppq.com.au , also you can get some with a diamond separator. any other suggestions for numbers etc or what would you choose??

Dave

The plates come in 12 different background colours and 9 letter/number colours and only available in Queensland Australia.
PQV * 876 $475
68 * HAF
68 * LWB
68 * SDP
APT * 703
HAF * 703

HAFI $2395
HAFY
HAFAPT
HAFFIE
LWBHAF
4WBHAF

1968HAF $3295
1968LWB
HAFLNGR
MYHAFFY
STYRPUC

Get whatever suits your fancy - that sort of thing is really expensive in other states - not sure in Qld.

Thankfully in Aust we do not have an emphasis on age related plates like they do in the UK - I guess it is a result of our different jurisdictions where new plates are issued each time a new registration is required and old plates have to be surrendered.

Go for what you want.

Something with HAF in it. Everything else is really obscure unless you bump into another haf owner.

Edit... probably HAF703

Just spotted the prices - for those prices I will just take the any old $25 plate they issue.

I have narrowed it down to 2 numbers 68HAF or HAF703 both can have the small diamond separator, with black background and silver letter/numbers.
They are both the same price @ $475.

Both are great, but FWIW I would go for the 68 HAF.
