Peter,

My understanding of Australia is that Queensland is a "Big" area. Might be nice if you stuck some details in your profile for the benefit of those who live nearer to you?

Is your Haflinger roadworthy?

I wonder what percentage of those Haflingers sent to Australia have survived? Seem to be quite a few on here.

John

Oh, and welcome!

Hi John, I was on the Gold Coast in the new year, its a minimum 20 hour drive from Cairns.

Peter

I am the proud owner of a 700APT again, 40 years after I owned my first one. I live in Bundaberg but I'm planning a trip south soon to meet another owner on the Sunshine Coast. Let me know if you're interested in joining us. Do you have a trailer?

4 hours in a Hafie on a 100/110kph main highway is fraught with danger, if not stupid. No windows and doors- in this wind up here I'd end up doing a Mary Poppins!

But if you joined my digital Oz Hafie Club (https://www.facebook.com/pg/Haflinger-4 ... e_internal), I could make it a club run and they you'd be fine to drive it up. assuming the rules down there are similar to Qld rules!

Regards

Doesn't make any difference - has to be a authorised club trip or I am stuck to using it within 40km from home on test runs.

However we hopeful that the rules will change next year so I will unlimited use for up to 60 days per year.
