Factory colours of Haffy parts

Post by wojo12 »

I am wondering if any colour photos exist of a new Haflinger in order to see what colour some components were painted when new. For example, the handbrake lever, the metal part of the air intake tube where it passes through the footwell, the "factory" towbar, the accelerator pedal and linkage bar, the back of the headlights, the dashboard . . . . . and anything else that should be finished in other than the vehicle colour.

Any help much appreciated.

You could try sending him a PM, It is possible he has photos that are not up on the web site.

Of the things you mention, my understanding is that they are all black, with the exception of early dashboards (body colour) and I am fairly sure the original tow bar stuff was "silver" (or a shade thereof).

I have attached a photo of all of the bits on my 1962 Haflinger that are painted black (excluding the half axles).
