These scans are copies taken from an early Steyr-Puch factory manual. These are the pages missing from the manual that John just purchased. This information was not added into the later versions of the service manual.

On the subject of manuals - I have the 1962 version with other information added like that listed above. I have been doing work on my front hub and find the manual lacking in detail and is difficult to read - I appreciate others may find it most suitable but I do have issues with it.

Is there a later more detailed manual available - maybe produced by a third party?

Thanks

Garry

Garry,
I am not aware of any later (than 1968) manual. The German language manual is carries dates form 1961-1964 and the English version has pages date as early as 1962 and as late as 1968. I am unaware of any other printed reference newer than 1968. Constantin has listed those with which he is familiar.

For the past couple of years, I have slowly but surely been making headway in the production of a combined operator's and repair manual for the Haflinger but am at least a full year away from completing that project. We are planning a series of operation, maintanance and repair/restoration videos as well. We just have a lot of irons in the fire. Please be patient as the final product should be well worth the wait.

Take care.

Thanks John - I appreciate that there are a lot of dedicated people working behind the scenes.

Cheers

Garry

I've done an english translation of the torque tables that Jim posted in this topic. My english version also includes torque values for several unit types. The file is in PDF format which I can't upload in this forum so Jim Molloy has asked the forum's administrator to add it to the Documents section. If the table is something you need immediately, send me a PM and I'll email it to you.
Cheers,
Steve
