Choice of tire

Hello friends! I am in doubt about what tyre to equip in my Haflinger to drive through the mud. Atv tyres are out of the question, but I'm dubious about the Semperit tire (TYRE 1) and the Black Star Cross (TYRE 2) on a 13-inch rim. In addition to the look they have, I want the performance to be the best for driving in mud and that is why I would like to know if someone has tested these tyres and can advise me which is better in the mud. Thank you for your contributions!

Sorry, never used either of those tyres on my Haflinger. I have the normal 12 Mayola and Semprit tyres on mine and they seem to work with in the capabilities of the Haflinger and the driver. I did look at these at one point but didn't actually buy them:-

Hi Angel,

I have the same as your TYRE 1 fitted to my 1962 Haflinger, and they are "OK", but would be the first to admit that I don't do much / any serious off roading with them. Just by looking at your photos I would have expected the TYRE 2 to preform better, but I have no direct experience.

The TYRE 1 type was replaced by the Semperit for the Series II Haflinger, and I would suspect that they are better; are you able to get any of those? See https://www.haflingertechnik.com/produc ... -165-x-12/

Angel, you might be able to get some of these which are made in Italy. I have them on my Haf and I know of some other Haf owners who also have them. On 13” rims, usually 155/80.Malatesta.
