Well, I can get the Facet pumps all day too.....and the pressure is too high, from past experience on 'mogs, and other Weber carbs. I've gone down that road before, and I'd rather not do it again...probably still have an old cube pump or two hanging around somewhere lol.

As to the area - even the "specialized" guys that are out here, aren't that specialized any more. Many of the old timers are gone and retired, and the newer guys are re-learning things the old timers had found out. I have a place locally called VW Paradise - highly regarded, have been building race, show, street for decades....and I had to show them that Facet does do lower psi pumps, and to boot they've never heard of Huco pumps. So much for the "specialists". When you get down to it, the folks on this board and the other boards that deal with Euro MV's probably know more, do more, and can fix more than 99% of the automotive enthusiasts out there.

Now - Jim mentioned that the Swiss trucks often have these electric pumps on them, I was just glancing through the Swiss parts book and lo and behold, there's the danged pump illustrated right there LOL.

Oh, I did, just not locally. We have a large auto parts store here, for instance - NAPA. Pretty good, usually. This time, well, they had the regular Facet pump, goes up to 6 psi or so.....could they order the lower pressure one? Sure, they said...but had no way to look it up, and it'll be next week before we can call and find out what number it is, how much it is, oh, and what vehicle is it going on? A what? What's that? Never heard of it, you sure about that?

Etc etc.

I'm a man of low patience by now, in dealing with these folks. 4 decades or so trying to get 18 year old parts clerks to find something makes me ornery. "Points? what are those?" "No, I'm sure you can't put that Saginaw on that International engine" "Birfield? What's that?" and on and on and on.....

Oh, and ETA to add that my best source for it is Aircraft Spruce and Spar...good folks, and they carry the unusual stuff.

Tech - what carb are you using on your truck? Is it a Weber?
Mine is on the Zenith but it used to run my Weber before I swapped it out
My other Hafi just ran one of these and then it could be adjusted
