OK, valve lash....

Post by Czechsix »

What's the go to value?

I see manuals saying 0.15mm, some saying 0.20 mm.

For a 1963 Swiss 700 AP, but to make things more entertaining, it's a replacement engine from a car.

Engine block number is 5129202 - anyone have any idea as to the provenance of this?

ETA: just did a manual search through the pages here, found another thread on "tappet adjustment", which is why it didn't show up on my search (yep, only did "valve lash")....good info in other thread, thanks to all, will go to looser adjustment.

Thanks Jim - so is the 0.20mm for the newer engines? 0.15 for the older ones?
