Left hand side distributor to left hand cylinder?

And the problem is??

Your cap is aligned "east west" where mine is aligned "north south" in the engine bay.

No problem, Lurch runs perfectly well with the above setting. I am just curious as I have seen Haf’s with the spark plug leads the other way around.
So was wondering which way was the original factory position or did it change at some point depending on the distributor fitted?

i always set the distributor for left for left and right for right .
it saved confusion for non mechanical people .
i dont know which was original .
