Difference between Mk1 & Mk2

Post by MeggyMoo »

Hi,
I have a 1964 Mk1 which has had many alterations to the platform in the form of cheap repairs, my question is what are the main differences between the Mk1 & Mk2 other than the different shape & position of the fuel tank.
Thanks in advance.

I would take a look at the link at the bottom of the main index page for this forum and look at Constantine’s web site - that should have the answer to your question.

Have you hit the "DONATE" button at the bottom of the page after reading this post? Many thanks if you have!!

Other differences include type & shapes of lights, the fixed then removable front section (above the waistline), the introduction of rocker box openings in the engine compartment, different carbs, more gears, colour of wheels (&dashboard?), diameter of central backbone "tube". The shape of the front name badge also changed from a rectangular plate to "script".

But many of the changes came in at different times, so it is difficult to be precise.
