Tricks for new Players

Post by Bigdougal »

yee ha..I had the Haflinger started today for the first time and so still not having brakes I decided to go for a drive around the vineyard. All great apart from I can not find reverse. Is there a trick to selecting reverse gear. Push down, pull up etc etc.
Cheers

It is very much push down (as in down the length of the gearstick), then across (away from you if RHD) and then it _should_ go forwards quite along way.

Sometimes it may be necessary to adjust a couple of shims, but try this first.

Doug,

Have a look at this:- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o9pEuzLaxVs at 2:08 he changes gear in to reverse, push down on gear lever and towards his leg and all the way forward.
On a RHD it would be exactly the same except you are sat in the other seat.

Hi Doug , If you are still having problems ,check out Haflinger Technik's web page under 'technical info' there is a part on reverse gear selector adjustment.
