Faded Indicator Resto

Post by brad »

While working on the Electrics I had the task to re colour the indicators.
Faded indicators are a roadworthy failure. Must have Yellow/Orange ones not faded clear white.
With Haffy indicators hard to find replacements I thought how do I recolour?

Got some Translucent Paint in a spray can and they come up like new.
The one on the left is faded. The center, the top has started to fade. The Right hand one is the resprayed one.
This is the paint I used. In a little can but seems to work well.

I added a pic of before and after.
The only English words on the can is colour ORANGE. The rest of the can is all in Japanese or Chinese

See how it goes.

Til next time

That looks like a good way of restoring the orange colour for the indicators, do you also get a red to be able to do the brake / parking light lenses?

Can you post a better picture of just the can?

HI, Here is the close up.

I got red, yellow and Orange.
After the orange worked I'm thinking of buying the rest of the stock out as they came from a closed down hobby shop.
So stock is limited also the price I got them may be worth it.

Can you post any numbers or manufacturer markings from the lenses?
