Seat Hooks-replacement part from a swing top bottle

Yesterday I was at an art exhibition opening and was trying to keep myself sane among all the boring/overpriced and useless stuff on display.

anyway I was drinking a beer and noticed that the swing top bottle top could be with little effort modified to be used as a replacement for the seat hooks that usually rust away and get lost.

As I live in switzerland and my haflinger is in Australia I can't confirm that this would fit or work due to size but I'm sure someone will be able to give it a go and see if it works.

best thing about this is you can drink all the beer till you get all the hooks you need....

let me know if you try this or can measure the originals to see if it would fit.

:) An enjoyable solution!

I wish I'd thought of that when I needed new hooks - I made mind out of high-tensile fence wire, it's the right diameter and plenty strong enough. But..cheaper and easier on the liver too!

When I did the seats I make my hooks out of Stainless filler rod so I won't have any rust problems for a long long time.
