Short side board dimensions needed
Short side board dimensions needed
I need the length of the short side boards so I can make a set if I cannot find a set.
Re: Short side board dimensions needed
Me too,
I have a set of long ones I will cut down to length so I can use the rear doors, unless anyone wants a swap?

Would they be the same length on a long wheel base version? Not that i have such things, but I will need to put a back on Lurch at some point.

Hi Jim
I have a set of press dies for the pressings on the side boards which I had given when I had a set of tail and side boards made, ( Body /paint, Tail board /page 2) if you need sizes let me know. It wont be anything technical.

Saw your thread, great job on your boards. Would love to know die dimensions and required materials to make them.
Used to do welding/fab work in my early days, so it will be fun.
I can get a 36" metal break for low$.
Did you use #16 or #18 gauge steel ?
So I have received a few measurements and get 69.5 CM or 27 3/8" for length on average.
Still deciding on slant back vs full squared rear top before making bows. This is where my old metal smithing experience will pay off

Hi Jim,
A few photos of the Dies, the sheet thickness for the side boards is 1.5mm, I have a few other photos with measurements of the side boards and rear tail panel if required.
