Hi everyone,
I need more info regarding the plastic for the windows on a canvas hood and doors . I note from the parts book that it says 1mm plastic foil, I have compared the 1 mm clear plastic which is available at my local supplier, it comes on a roll 1350mm wide and cut to any length , it seems a lot more flexible than the original plastic which is fitted to the doors etc .I know that plastic changes colour and becomes less flexible as it gets old, Can anybody advise what type/name the original clear plastic is or a good replacement.

Sorry Dave,

Not much help as it's a UK supplier, but I found this place which sells window plastic which I will buy when I finally get round to doing my doors and the rear canvas cover.

Maybe the brand name will help?

G,,day Dave the most economical semi rigid clear is 1 mm polycarbonate sheet
available on a roll 1 metre wide
it is used for hot houses .

it is sewable , if the machine is adjusted correctly .

"Lexan " is polycarbonate .

Any marine supplier should have various gauge clear vinyl for the windows
Make sure it is UV stable and it will not yellow or crack for years and years

Just saw this...good!
Hafi project slow and Canadian summer going fast
Between work, new puppy, BBQ comps and the Hafi - the Hafi work as suffered.
I am trying to kick start it now and get the running gear completed/restored before xmas - should be doable :D
