Polycab Under dash

Post by cahafi »

Looking for a few images of under the dash of a Polycab.

Wanting to mount the windshield washer reservoir and run wiring as original as possible.

Hi and welcome to the forum - no sure if we have too many Polycabs owners but I am sure someone will be able to help. I am looking to do the same in my "normal" haf and also having trouble finding a spot.

Cheers

garrycol - Thank you, someone made a mount for the bracket at one time, but it interferes with the heater ducting.

Not a polycab, but my July 1972 LWB soft top has a pneumatic push-to-squirt system, as shown in the photo below; when you say "wiring" are you meaning cabling or tubing?

Sorry the photo is so poor, but I don't have access to the Haflinger just now.

Lurch originally had the push to squirt button like Juliain’a, but the one way valve unit has failed. Tooo expensive to buy an original one to replace it, so I have an electric pump fitted. I’ll ask a Polycab owner I know if he can post some pictures.

Looking for both washer reservoir location and the wiring for headlights, horn, etc, routing under the dash.

I have the push plugger button and all proper mounts, reservoir, tubing, etc. Could modify to fit, but would like to make as original as possible.

I asked on one of the face book groups and got the following pictures which may be of some help.

There is also a picture in Haflinger operators hand book which details all the switches / dials etc for all the Haflinger models which shows the windscreen washer pump button next to the steering wheel on a LHD version. I presume you just have to stretch more if you have a RHD version like you do in a metal front Haflinger!
