Shockies

I have put this up on the Yahoo site but it may as well go here as well.
My shock absorbers are cactus and I need for new ones
Stuart over on the Yahoo site suggested these may fit Boge27-453-1, 1 54 023 2; Armstrong 63A-0210 (Triumph GT6); or Monroe 104S but I could find a listing in our local books. I can of course try specialist Haflinger suppliers in Europe.
When looking locally, one supplier was very helpful and took all the measurements, made a few calls and came up with Monroe 15-0308 (VW Bug) at about $240 US a pair and Koni 80-1350 at about $290 US a pair (was Aussie dollars but expressed in US $$ so would most appreciate the rip offs we have in goods in Aust). I was a bit shocked by the price of the Monroes but the price of the Konis is what I would expect and they are rebuildable and more importantly adjustable.
Anyone had Konis on their vehicles?? - If so how are they??
