Haflinger story books for children

Post by HaffyDownUnder »

Greetings from Down Under here in Wangaratta, Victoria, Australia.
Some of you may already be aware that my family has recently produced a series of young children's books called
"Say Hello To Haffy".
Haffy goes on real life adventures in Australia. Haffy has a lot to see, a lot to do, and a lot to learn.

The first five books are currently available to preview and purchase online directly from a company called Blurb. It is a print-on-demand photo book company. Here is a link directly to the Blurb website bookstores for various countries, to the Haffy books.

There are now premium quality (lustre) paper, and standard quality paper editions. The first book "Meet Haffy" is now also available as an ebook edition for the ipad.

The "Say Hello To Haffy" series has been inspired by the love that our two sons have for our own Haffy, a 1974 AP700 Tropical, that we have owned for more than 16 years.
As a two year old, our youngest son was often found sitting in our Haffy pretending to go on four wheel driving adventures.
Our boys have each had very successful journeys in learning to read. They are now well on their way to being highly successful individuals as they now use their reading skills to learn.
Over the passed 6 years, as each new school reader came home, the boys would ask more and more for books that were more suited to them. We did it! It has been a three year journey to create the Haffy character and the book series so far.

Each story shows some wonderful photos of stunning places in Australia, that we have captured during our own family adventures.

My aim is to bring the joy of reading and books closer to the hearts of 3 to 8 year old children. I hope to help other children along their reading journeys to becoming confident independent readers.

The book series will also help to raise the awareness of the fantastic Haflinger vehicle. We discovered that there is another haffy here in town, only a couple of months ago. It was found under a tree in a paddock. The good news is that it has been rescued and is starting to be restored.

The next book in the series, book 6 "Haffy and the Big Footprints", will become available in the New Year.

Haffy Christmas everyone. We hope you all enjoy the books.
