Maybe they didn't manage to finish the sentence? "Good condition when you consider it has stood in the open outback for the last 40 years...."

Do you think the "Roo / Bull bar"" on the front would actually work? The top looks like it is so high up and only has 2 thin strips of metal to the bottom of the windscreen to keep it upright. Maybe those are a home made "crumple zone" designed to bend in the event of use!

Does look like a relatively good starting point for a usable Hafi, As most of it looks like it just requires labour to fix up.

Roos are a real pain in the whatnot - I live in suburbia yet when I go out at night I have to be on the lookout - there is a mob that lives just around the corner and sometimes come and eat the grass on my front lawn - they are bloody stupid animals and was well as bouncing out in front they are just as likely to bound into the side of the car.

I doubt that the bar on that Haffie would offer much protection as most roos would go underneath due to the shape of the front. I think it is more for holding the windscreen and pushing scrub out of the way.

These suckers are the real urban bandits - they are smart, destructive, noisy and hunt in gangs. They have chewed up my balcony and wrecked my canvas awning. They would quickly reduce a Haffie canvas top to threads.

I have just used the Zoom on the picture and what I thought was a strap to hold the top of the "Roo" bar is actually the windscreen folded down! I think the windscreen is folded down to hide the fact it only has one piece of glass in it on the drivers side!

Looks like the birds have already eaten the canvas top on this one!!
