Like you Dave, I wonder if all the required cables are with it or does it run on some new technology I don't know about!

The rest looks like it could be made to work without too much trouble, would make someone a nice Haf.

Notice the large pulley for the governor though, Tony from Melbourne sent me one. Told me that they were for Haffie's fitted with the PTO so they cut down the rev's even more. Danny

I've stared at those gumtree photos and ones I took in 2008 in Bungendore of a haflinger that was meant to be an ex-Action Buses street sweeper (Canberra's bus company). I obviously didn't win that auction and I recall it went to the north coast of NSW. It's been tidied up a bit since my photos but the holes you can see in the current photos match some of the street sweeper brackets now removed. If it is the same one - pretty sure as my photos of the dash show the same rusty key and green tag plus the first couple of odometer numbers match - then it was running fine back then.

That's my photo I emailed to Constantin. The original ebay winner was definitely in Australia - I did email him once not long after the auction.

cheers

One of the pictures in the Gumtree ad, appears to show 4 levers between the seats. 1 for 4 wheel drive, 2 for diff locks and another maybe for the PTO to drive the brush?

None of the other photos shows enough to see if there is a PTO.

Other than knowing that Hafingers were used as street cleaning vehicles here many years ago I have not been able to find anything about them. I do not know what version of haflinger was used though speaking with Matt's dad a while back it seems they were Pathfinders. To run the brush gear one would assume a PTO would have been used.

So if Matt is correct and this is an ex Canberra street cleaner then yes there should be a PTO.

I thought all PTOs were 703 long body units. I've never heard of a 703 set up as a Pathfinder variant.

Here's another photo I took showing the PTO lever. The dash, ignition key all match. Cheers

Yes I can confirm the ex-ACT street sweeper as shown in Matt'and Gary's photos is the same vehicle in the Gumtree ad. The seller has purchased a few ebay items from me. Cheers. Rick

I have googled these ACT street sweepers and found nothing on them at all.

I would love to learn more about them.
