The driving experience in ANY old vehicle gets better the more it is used. You fix all the things that break and if you do it properly, they stay fixed for a long time. So slowly the need to fix thing reduces, and you are left with maintenance chores to do.

Lurch required a fair amount of work when purchased, including rebuilding both front hubs. Then 7 years of small things needing to be fixed until a major item expire (engine) so expect constant work, but hopefully less actual fixing /replacing and more maintenance / driving!
