So, for those of you with the Yokohama Super Digger 12" tyre

Post by Czechsix »

How are they holding up? How are they performing? On/off road? Wet tarmac? Snow? Ice? Mud? Sand? Airing down?

I just purchased a set, primarily for on road use and I'll keep the Black Diamond tires for off road use.

Since I'm in the process of moving to a state that's basically an island, I'm trying to get a decent stock of spares to keep me going for awhile. I'll be dragging the whole lot up with me during the move, but it's so much less expensive down here that it's worth buying for future use. If there's a better option than the Yoko's for North American users, I'd like to hear about it.

I have them but am not using them - they are just too small and the Haf has its head screaming on the road and speed is a lot slower. I will only put them on if doing a show and shine.

The tyres are quite a bit smaller rolling circumference - shorter height when compared to the Semperits.

Arg, well I guess I'll be going slower than normal. They don't look bad on the truck though, Garry.

Maybe my search will still go on, but I'll run these for awhile once I'm relocated in Alaska, if they really don't work out then I'll keep looking. Maybe I'll have to bite the bullet and find some 13" wheels.

I normally run 14" rims and with my Hankook tyres the wheels probably have a similar diameter to your Black Diamond tyres - 25"

To give you an idea of the difference in size you can expect going from your Black Diamond to the Yokohamas this is a pic of my pic with both on at once.

The Yokohama's are a great all terrain tyre it is just a shame they are smaller (width/height) than the Semperit tyres that were fitted as OEM fit.
