SDP Logo

Post by pathfinder700ap »

Markus,

maybe we can add the SDP Logo to the Forum header? I could also produce a smaller version that fits.

The logos on the front page rather kill the forum name.... I personally think the original logo by itself was better, but maybe if the SDP logo was smaller, re positioned it might be alright.

Hi Markus,

Sorry to say I am not. :(

There is still something wrong with the title / logo bit. I think you need to do two things:-

1: remove the original little image of the Haflinger which you see on all the other pages as it has managed to get superimposed on the main index page on top / underneath the first of your sequence of SDP logos.

2: Can you move the position of the title "TheHaflinger.com" and change its colour? White seems to get lost in bit of the logo that in runs into.

Other than that, I think the forum is great. I like the idea of a one make forum as it would make finding information regarding some aspect of Haflinger ownership easier to find. The downside is that maybe there are not enough people interested in posting to make it work long term.

How can one see the front page?
I can only see the board index when I go to the root URL thehaflinger.com. Logging out also doesn't help.

I think I could help with the logo and the Haflinger picture.

Hi Markus,

The banner looks much better.. Although now "TheHaflinger.com" title seems to moved to the right. I know it seems to just be me making suggestions, but until others join in..

pathfinder700ap - I mean the index page as the front page. Sorry.

Markus, can you move the title a bit more to the middle of the banner or all the way to the right? It looks a bit odd sort of two thirds the way across the banner.

Please forgive my poor artistic skills, but how about something like this? (I have obviously used Constantin's image as a base, and I hope that he doesn't mind!

I will be the first to accept that it is merely a proof of concept, not final artwork :D :D :D

EDIT: Hmmm - I tried to upload a gif, but it failed. See a jpg here instead ...

Well done! If you agree, I'll pick up your suggestion!
Also, I think I have to do something about the border between transparent and black areas, because it doesn't look nice there with some bad pixels.

Hi there,

Julian, I altered your design a little bit, but I hope you like it!
I added a white border around the text, because I find that the border from black to transparent doesn't look really good (you can see the pixels there).

Maybe we can give it a try....

New logo looks nice but on my system it is too wide. I see the start of the "n" in the right hand most Haflinger.

In other words it is as wide as the logo in the thread but that is wider than the "normal" thread width.

Minor detail really, but I thought I would point it out.

It looks quite good on my screen and I am happy with the result!
I only find that the text "TheHaflinger.com" on the right side of the logo could be removed. Also, there is a "#"-sign (dash sign) in the very top left corner of the forum which should possibly not be there... just another detail that could be sorted out.

Kind regards,
Constantin
