Timeless scene in Sussex, UK

Post by Julian B »

Took my '62 SWB in for its annual MOT test today; glorious sunshine and a wonderfully rural scene.

Did you drive the Haf there or trailer it?

Hopefully drove it there and back with a new MOT. Would also have made all those impatient drivers out there slow down and take it easy on their non essential journeys! :D

I do that occasionally by taking Lurch to work and back.

Next one tomorrow then?

I don't trailer it everywhere, John!!!!! ;)

It was a wonderful drive down to Poynings, despite running out of petrol on the way home - but thankfully I had prepared for that eventuality & had a jerry can on board.

I'll be repeating the process again on Thursday with my '70 LWB. Fingers crossed.

Who forgot to "dip it" then! Did you go up over the downs or stay north of the downs? I have driven Lurch up and over devils dyke a number of times, been down to 2nd when caught out by a cyclist and then you can't get enough speed up to change to 3rd!
