Apparently a tipper bed. Looks a bit like a Poncin, but I am not convinced it is.

Update - it is UK registered, and dates to ~1980 (or possibly earlier, but not later). Cab only goes across the right hand side, so perhaps made in a RHD country?

Really could do with a picture from the front as the "tipper" body could easily be an afterthought addition.

An update from elsewhere - it is an Saboteur Atlas, powered by a 1795 cc VW engine. Little on the www, but problem now solved.
