Different Nomnaclure Plates for 700ap

Post by Vampyr »

Hi Guys, have a question I've been discussing with Gary in Canberra, Australia. I have my 2nd 700AP with a torn in half Nomnaclure Plate. Now this plate is very similar to my 1974 other than the vehicle weights are lighter. Haflinger Technik stocks both different plates, just curious as to what the difference is?

Post some pictures so we can see, Could well be because the vehicle came from a different country initially, or they changed the plates layout due to the year it was built.

Do the Poly cab versions have a higher tare weight due to the weight of the cabin?

Did the weight change correspond to the change in tyre size, number of gears or carb type (& thus power)?

The difference is only 50 and 40 kgs. I am assuming that the lighter plates may be for earlier vehicles and the increase in weight may have been for later vehicles which had heavier springs and more options, pto's , tow bars, full cabs etc. just a thought. Danny
