The Steyr Puch woven wire suspension limiting straps..in a word.. suck. They were great in their day, I guess, but are prone to chafing on the shackle mounts and snapping under tension. OEM style replacements are crazy expensive for what they are. Nowadays, off-road vehicles the world over use nylon...

Hammerite in non-hammered variants work great since they are very self leveling.

I hope you top-coated the POR.. It will turn grey and slough off without the top coat. It's not UV stable.

After my last post, i was told, on good authority, that this motor was EXACTLY as advertised. The Hafi it came from had an engine swap, and this one was mothballed.

If someone in the USA needed a motor, this was a pretty good buy.

He probably doesn't have the Hafi anymore.. and including the 2nd engine with the sale probably wasn't a good ROI. Sell the Hafi for $10k, and the motor for $5k.

And he wants $85 to create the motor.. Who says the economy is in the crapper!

They are substantially more aggressive than the few remaining 12 inch street tires models still available in the USA. Has anyone had experience with this tire? Would they properly fit a stock 1...

I've been considering just buying some rod stock and bending the back two bows myself.. It doesn't appear to be so thick as to be very difficult..

In-laws gave me a Haflinger T-shirt.
They found in in the Zazzle marketplace.
It's quite nice.
(Forgive the wrinkles.. It sat in the laundry pile a bit too long.)

My indicator switch "bought the farm" long ago, to be replaced with a robust aftermarket unit. I know what you mean, though. I saw a little kid twist a tail lamp lens off a pristine Austin-Healey 3000 at a local car show.

Unfortunately, removing the accounts isn't enough in this case, as spam-bots have archived the answer to the interrogation question.

This one could even be set up to be Haflinger specific!
