Re: Retread in Australia (12")
the other possibility is to get them retreaded as a slick , if you can find someone to do it .
then hand groove / cut the tread pattern you want .
with the correct hot tool it is surprisingly easy .

adit , ps ; i forgot , i do not know the legality of this for road use

Gary , just bare in mind that installing different seats may void your legality/roadworthiness and insurance , unless the installation is engineered .

i had never looked at the mounting before , no reason to . it is screwed to the top windscreen frame with what appears to be 8 guage self tappers , obviously Aussie content for compliance . i would use nutserts / rivnuts i am fairly sure that if you have external mirrors you do not need internal . b...

the valve relies on a square faced hole ,
you may succeed with valve grinding paste .

Re: Oil Pump/Filter Pressure Relief Valve
the cutter is a flat faced cutter , a bit like a tap / faucet reseater .
it fits in a tube that is a snug fit in the hole .
after refacing , the mushroom valve is put in a with the correct size hole in the end , and a light tap to give a new seal
