Nathan, I hope it is worth more than 50.000 south african rands (3000€?) as this is less than what I have put in it just in new parts so far. Maybe Haflingers are more comon in South Africa?
Probably selling it spring time next year. In the mean time I can work on paint an other cosmetical stuff.

Help setting the right price for a Haflinger
My 1969 Haflinger polycab 703AP is probably coming up for sale in a few months and I need some help setting the right price. I live in Norway and there is very few around here so it is hard to find other sales to compare to. I added some pictures so people can see the general state. Some good parts:...

Re: New member from Norway
I'm to cheap to buy new ones before the knobbies are worn out. I can live with the noise. Besides it looks cool with knobbies. And we all know how important that is.

Re: New member from Norway
Had a go at removing the preload plate behind the front wheel bearing. No problem to get to the bolts, but I could not for the life of me get the plate out from behind the lower kingpin. The wheel axle protrudes a little way into a resess in the plate and kept it from getting away. After many attemp...

Re: Poor Lurch - Engine making horrible noises!
Nice to hear Lurch is back and kicking. John, do you have any tips on what is considered normal crank end play on these engines? I know the manual says 0,17-0,29mm. Mine have a distinct clunk when pulling/pushing on the rear pulley and I can clearly see it move. From memory I measured it to somethin...

Re: New member from Norway
Removing the doors is probably best considering the limited horsepower available.

Re: New member from Norway
Thank you Dave. I recently read about an exhaust system you bought that did not line up properly. I got the same results with one I bought from Autoquariat. Very strange that this small and super simple exhaust system is so difficult for the producers to get right. I decided to remove the heat excha...

Re: New member from Norway
You are correct John. Body is pretty good on this one. Mostly light surface rust except for a hole in the bed. Mechanically i expect a lot of gremlins after that many years of storage. So far it got new fluids, filters and the starter solenoid needed some love to be able to send power to the dynasta...

New member from Norway
Hi guys and girls. First I want to say thank you for all of the good information and friendly tone in this forum. I have read as much as possible in here to get to know my recently acquired 1969 703APT (I think) Polycab. It has been sitting in a garage with some jeeps for company the last 27 years. ...
