I had a look at Constatins site and that lists 1981 as the newest.

parts book

I have several different parts books from different years. My newest copy is a 1970 parts book in a green vinyl binder. I was looking at the Prokschi web site and it lists a 1970 parts book, but it has also 1991 on the front cover. any one know if it is a updated parts book to the 1970 I have.

Re: wheel locked up

Hi Garry, I took it to a local brake shop, they asked me if I wanted the pads the same or thicker. I said the same, but I think this has been the problem from the start, this particular wheel has always grabbed when I reversed, so I would drive forward about a meter and it would free it self. I didn...

Canvas parts

I think I have collected all the parts I need for my Lwb canvas, I have the canvas and plastic for the windows. I just need some money to pay for it all being put together.

Re: Tool Kit

I think I have finally got all the tools to match the original tool kit, all the spanners and screwdrivers are from Stubai Austria. I have added 2 photos for comparison. I previously mentioned about the tommy bars, I picked them up this week.

Re: wheel locked up

As the old saying goes, as a last resort read the instructions. I got some replacement springs for the shoes, they match the smaller diameter one in the photo. I thought all good everything is new, but when I tried to put the drum on it was still catching and when I tightened the wheel up it locked ...

Re: free tyres

I have been told that they have a few sets of the tractor tyres left, I'm not sure how much they want for them.
Would anybody be interested in a set? If so I will ask the question.

Re: wheel locked up

I checked both of the shoes were in the correct position and the adjusters were not holding the shoes out. I will hold my hand up and admit I didn't chamfer the edges of the pads. when I refitted the wheel I spun the wheel in both directions as I had both wheels jacked up, the problem drum seemed to...

Re: wheel locked up

After fitting everything back together and bleeding the brakes, I thought I would give the haf a little run. I tried to reverse out of my shed, but I found that the same drivers side rear wheel was locked up again. I removed the wheel and found the drum was locked up, but with a bit of tapping I got...

Re: wheel locked up

I replaced all the hoses and pipes when I started the rebuild, I was told all the cylinders had been re-lined and looking at the one I replaced the liner was in good condition. sorry I didn't get a part number for the seals. I got the Haflinger in 2007 and started the rebuild around mid 2008, so I d...

Re: wheel locked up

I started to bleed the brakes, so started at the rear passenger side, but I could not get any brake fluid through. I have finally traced it to the short flexible brake pipe which connects to the 2 metal brake pipes feeding that leg, to allow for axle movement the pipe is blocked solid, so its anothe...

Re: wheel locked up

The cylinders have been previously re lined and are in good condition, so I only needed the seals.

Re: wheel locked up

I went to the supplier this morning, I asked him to fit the seals on the pistons but when he tried they split as well. He managed to find some that were ok.
I have now refitted the cylinder, brake pads and refitted the wheel, so now I only have to bleed the brakes.

Re: wheel locked up

I removed the the brake cylinder as well and took them to a local brake specialist. They said that the did not have any spares for the cylinder so I left the shoes with them and went to another place I know and got some replacement seals. The first one I tried I could not get over the lip and ended ...

Re: free tyres

I had the 5 tyres delivered on Saturday. I only have 1 spare rim so I will try one of the tyres on that one.
If it fits ok I might be in the market for 4 other ones.

This is the brake shoe, it looks very damp. I has not been in any water and I cant find any signs of a oil leak.
